A 50-year-old woman in Central Florida surrendered to police Wednesday after she allegedly hit three teenagers with her vehicle, killing one of them, and then drove home.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Deborah Lynn Crain allegedly hit the teens as they walked on Deer Run Road in Astor, Fla., near the Marion/Lake county line Tuesday night.

The collision killed 15-year-old Britanny Tarantino after she was apparently dragged under the vehicle.

Another girl, Alicia Spence, 14, was in serious but stable condition at Florida Hospital Deland. A third teen did not have life-threatening injuries.

Crain turned herself into police Wednesday morning after she allegedly told a neighbor that she hit the teens and left the scene, Local 6 News reported.

Crain faces several charges, including vehicular homicide.
