A 17-year-old in Cape Canaveral was arrested Wednesday after he beat, spray-painted, shocked and tried to set another teen on fire during a 30-minute torture session in a garage, according to Brevard County sheriff's deputies.
"The police report reads like something out of a horror movie," Local 6 reporter Jessica Sanchez said. "For about 30 minutes, a teenage boy suffered in a house of horror according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office."
Officers charged Joshua James Fore with attempted murder, false imprisonment and robbery after an injured teen was found running down a Cape Canaveral street in his underwear late Tuesday.
When officers investigated, they found Fore allegedly robbed the boy of his clothes, jewelry and shoes. However, after the robbery, the teen allegedly took the victim to a garage and hit him in the head with brass knuckles, according to a police report.
A police report said Fore then sprayed lighter fluid on the boy and attempted to set the victim on fire, scorching his hair.
The boy said Fore also sprayed insecticide in the his nose and eyes and used the cut end of an extension cord in an effort to shock him with electricity.
The report said Fore also sprayed the victim’s face, neck, and shoulders with aerosol paint.
When the boy escaped, an unknown Good Samaritan picked him up, transported the boy home and called police.
The victim was treated and released at a local hospital.
Fore was taken into custody and charged.
When asked what went on in the garage during his arrest, Fore answered, "something bad."
Police said the motive may have been robbery but are not sure why the boy was tortured so severely, Sanchez said.
