Orlando police arrested more than 20 gang members Thursday night carrying exotic deadly weapons, including brass knuckles with long attached steel blades, according to Local 6 News.

Investigators said 14 teenagers and eight adults were charged with the possession of deadly weapons at Demetree Park after officers spotted up to 60 teens getting ready to fight.

Many of the people arrested at the park, which included some 13-year-old teens, were found with weapons.

"The weapons looked like something out of a horror film," Local 6 reporter Erik von Ancken said.

An underage teen taken into custody denied that the group was preparing to fight.

"Were you guys about to go at it?" von Ancken asked.

"No, we're all friends," a teen said.

"All 50 to 60 of you are friends?" von Ancken said.

"We're all friends," the teen said.

"Are you a gang?" von Ancken asked another teen.

"I guess you could say that," he said.

The teen said they were not part of a violent gang.

"Some of the people who talk about gangs, talk about family and protection," Orlando police Capt. Gene Bernal said. "But obviously, this is for violence, and that's really all it's for."

Police said gangs are growing in the Orlando area, according to the report.
