Cat Bites Prompt Rabies Alert In Osceola County

Officials in a part of Osceola County, Fla., issued a rabies alert Thursday after several residents reported being bitten by a stray cat, according to a Local 6 News report.
After the bites, the cat was captured and tested positive for rabies.
The alert is issued for residents north of Old Tampa Highway to South Twilight Trail and east of Hidden Harbor subdivision to Ham Brown Road.
The victims bitten by the cat are being treated for rabies Wednesday night.
