6 charged with armed robbery and kidnapping

Women claiming to be victims were involved in crime

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested six people Tuesday for their involvement in an armed robbery and kidnapping.

Deputies spoke with Lindsey Saucedo and Rosa DeJesus, on September 29 at  5000 Old Tampa Highway in Kissimmee. The two women described that their male friend had agreed to drive two men, Stephen Batista and Rederick Rodriguez, to an unknown location. The women claimed that while driving, Batista displayed a firearm and a knife and demanded money from the victim.

The two women claimed Batista put a knife to one of the women's throat and the other was choked. The victim's car ran out of gas and pulled over on the side of the road near Old Tampa Highway and South Orange Blossom Trail, according to the report.

The victim says they all were then picked up by two of the suspects' friends, Crystal Gonzalez and Abraham Buil, who drove the suspects and the victim to two local banks and forced the victim to withdraw money before leaving him on McClaren Circle. The suspects took the victim's personal items and clothing before releasing him.

He then walked to WaWa located at 2499 North Orange Blossom Trail and reported the incident to law enforcement.

The victim's statement revealed that the two women, Saucedo and DeJesus, lied to investigators and were both involved in the crime, not victims as they had claimed.

Investigators then located the two women, who implicated the other four suspects, and the four were located and arrested for armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and kidnapping. Saucedo and DeJesus were also charged with filing a false statement to law enforcement.

All six suspects were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
