A man police dubbed the "Bubble Gum Bandit" after he was videotaped removing coins from gum machines at several businesses was arrested over the weekend, according to Local 6 News.
Investigators said Jay Kross was charged with burglary in connection with the robbery of gumball machines at 17 businesses in Brevard County. In some of the robberies, the sticky-fingered, sweet-toothed bandit made off with entire machines.

Kross told a judge Sunday that he is self-employed and business has been bad lately, Local 6 News reported.
Business owners in Central Florida were baffled over the thefts.
"For whatever reason, he didn't take anything else from the store, nothing," Paradise Pools worker Carol Joseph said. "Maybe he has a bubble gum fetish."
Kross is being held at the Brevard County Jail on $10,000 bond.
