Naked Driver Prompts School Lockdown
Jody Medders, 40, was spotted by a Flagler County sheriff's deputy driving nude on U.S. 1 near Bunnell, The Daytona Beach News Journal reported. During a pursuit, Medders drove across state Road 100, then near Bunnell Elementary School, causing officials to put the school under lockdown Thursday, the report said.Medders allegedly attempted to strike a sheriff's deputy with his car during the pursuit before he stopped and was captured.Medders was wearing pants when he exited his car and was transported to the Florida Memorial Hospital-Flagler to be treated for Taser gun injuries.The 40-year-old was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer along with charges of eluding, according to the report.There were no reported injuries in connection with the incident.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
