7-Eleven clerk punched in $8 wine robbery, Orlando police say

Robber sought after punching clerk in nose, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are searching for the robber they say punched a 7-Eleven clerk in the face, breaking his nose, after stealing two bottles of wine from the convenience store.

Police said the culprit went into the 7-Eleven store on Vineland Road late Friday night and tried to walk out of the store with a small wine bottle inside of his pocket.

The clerk saw two wine bottles missing from the display and confronted the culprit, who then punched the clerk in the face and left the store, according to the report.

The culprit then got into a brown SUV driven by a woman and went north on Bruton Bouelvard.

Police said the clerk was taken to Florida Hospital South to be treated for a broken nose.

The missing wine bottles were not recovered and were valued at $8.

Police are continuing to investigate the robbery.
