FBI To Focus On 'Person Of Interest' In Kesse Case
Since Jennifer Kesse disappeared, investigators have continued to believe that a person seen in a surveillance photo taken at the Huntington on the Greens apartment complex could offer information in the case.Wednesday, detectives asked the FBI to assist in verifying the person's height and other characteristics from the photos.Investigators believe they may be able to even to figure out the person's shoe size, Local 6 News reported. The photo of the person walking near a gate was taken near an area where Kesse's black Chevrolet Malibu was abandoned."The investigation is reaching its conclusion," Orlando police Sgt. Richard Ring said Wednesday. "I'm hoping it is going to be a happy conclusion but I'm prepared and I think the family and our police department are prepared (for the worst)."
Psychics Used In Search
Meanwhile, Orlando police confirmed that they have interviewed a number of psychics in connection with the case."The psychic calls we have been getting about the Kesse case, we are not discounting them," Ring said. "There is the possibility that there is valid information that we can use."Detectives have received more than 12 calls from people who have identified themselves as psychics, Local 6 News has learned. Many psychics have said they have intuition about Kesse and what may have happened to her."There is also the possibility that a person who knows information about the case who is reluctant to use a regular channel to communicate with us might actually go to a psychic and give us tips to help us find Mrs. Kesse," Ring said.Kesse's family told Local 6 News that they had been contacted by a psychic in the past about their daughter's case. The psychic would only say that Kesse was alive."Our bottom line is that we want to solve this case for the Kesse family and if it takes a psychic to get the information and we use it and solve it then kudos to them," Ring said.Orlando police said they have not used a profiler in the case.A $115,000 reward is being offered for information about Kesse's whereabouts. If you have any information, you are urged to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.- February 14, 2006: Psychics Used In Search For Missing Orlando Woman
