ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An 18-year-old girl in Orange County, Fla., was shot and injured Sunday by a woman driver during an apparent case of road rage, according to Local 6 News.
Erikia Southall, 18, told police that she was cut off by a woman driving a green Lexus at the intersection of Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road Sunday.
Both women then pulled their vehicles into a parking lot of a shopping center near a Hardee's restaurant.
The two began to fight, according to the report.
During the altercation, the driver of the Lexus allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Southall in the foot, close to her ankle, a police report said.
"She just said someone shot her and she was hysterical," victim's aunt Barbara Mitchell said.
The shooter then got back into her Lexus and drove off.
Southall also tried to leave the area in her sport utility vehicle and caused several crashes, according to the report.
Southall drove to Homestead Road and stopped until police arrived.
The teen was treated at Health Central and released Sunday night.
Police are searching for the woman shooter.
