Motorists can benefit greatly by replacing the air inside their vehicle's tires with nitrogen, and it can even improve gas mileage, some mechanics told Local 6 News.
"As far as the ride, performance and handling you can just go on and on," a mechanic told Local 6 News.
Nitrogen is a dry gas and free of moisture, which means tires do not expand or deflate in hot or cold weather, according to the report.
"That means better gas mileage," Wilson said.
NASA, Air Force One, NASCAR and commercial airlines have been using nitrogen in tires for some time, according to the report.
Some people who have tested nitrogen in their tires said, "Once you gone to nitrogen, you'll never go back," according to Wilson.
"I think it will be industry standard," a mechanic told Local 6 News.
