Police in Orlando, Fla., announced Friday night that they are searching for two people who may be able to provide clues into the murder of a 46-year-old mother of three earlier this week.
Investigators said that Deborah Culin had just stepped off a bus Tuesday night and was heading home to the Copper Terrace Apartments on Kirkman Road in MetroWest when she was ambushed, robbed and killed.
Investigators said two men caught on surveillance videotape at a convenience store used Culin's credit card to buy some junk food and gas a few hours after she was killed.
"That (video) is disturbing," Orlando police Sgt. Rich Ring said. "I can't see that they are concerned about what they are doing. The video does not depict it. They go and get junk food; they place a large quantity of it on the counter and then fill up a couple of cars."
Police said the men did not appear to be in a hurry and drove away after making the purchases.
The men are not considered suspects, only persons of interest, the report said.
Until the release of the surveillance photos Friday, investigators have had few leads in the case other than a description of a tall, black man seen running from the scene.
Culin's family made a plea for witnesses to come forward.
"If you have any information regarding this, please come forward," the victim's daughter, Celeste Culin, said. "I'm only 16 years old. How would you feel if you lost your mother, and what would you do? Please, please just come forward."
Anyone with information concerning this crime is urged to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.
