Health officials said that the woman has recovered after a five-day hospital stay. They said that she contracted the virus while visiting the Florida Keys last month.

Two people from north Florida's Madison County have already been identified with the virus, along with another person from neighboring Jefferson County. An Atlanta woman died from West Nile last week.

Sarasota health officials said that the latest victim stayed in Marathon, Fla., and swam at dusk. State epidemiologist Dr. Steven Wiersma said that the virus might have been taken to the Keys by migratory birds.
