ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Seminole County middle-school student was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly threw dog feces at another student aboard a school bus, according to WKMG Local 6 News.
The Teague Middle School student and his classmate have not been getting along lately, according to Altamonte police, and as the spat escalated it resulted in the suspect throwing the feces at the other boy shortly after being picked up by the bus.
Several students, including the boy who was the intended target, were hit by the feces. Some of the children got sick, and others who were hit jumped the boy who threw the dung, according to WKMG Local 6 News.
That's when the driver stopped the bus and called for help.
"We've certainly had our share of fights on a bus, but in the years I've been here I can't recall somebody trying to settle an issue by doing it in quite that manner," Jack Harrison of the Altamonte Springs Police Department said.
The boy was arrested and taken to the Seminole County Juvenile Assessment Center. Battery charges may be filed against him.
No one was hurt during the fight, and the rest of the students were taken to school.
It's not yet known if the boy will face suspension or expulsion from school.
The incident happened on Lotus Parkway near the Rennaisance Apartments on State Road 434 around 8:30 a.m.
Authorities said that they were glad that the weapon of choice in this instance wasn't more serious.
