A 22-year-old man in Orange County, Fla., was shot and killed Saturday and his twin sister was seriously injured in a robbery over $11, according to police.
Investigators said twins Jamal and Jessica Williams were inside a car listening to music in the front of their home located on Piney Ridge Drive in Orange County at about 4 a.m. when three men approached the vehicle.
One of the men pulled out a gun and demanded that Jamal Williams give up his money, police told Local 6 News.
"My brother being my brother got out of the car, took things out of his pocket and rested them on the trunk," victim Jessica Williams said. "He went ahead and got into a scuffle with the guy with the gun."
A friend listening to music with the twins ran to safety during the scuffle but both of the twins were hit by bullets, the report said.
Jamal Williams was shot in the chest, according to his sister.
"I was lying on the ground and got up and I saw when the guy shot him," Williams said. "I said, 'Please, please no,' and that is it, he still shot him."
"Not only was this murder senseless but it was over $11," Local 6 reporter Deborah Garcia said. "Jamal Williams died because of that cash and trying to protect his twin sister from the flying bullets."
The shooter and two other men remain on the loose.
