Authorities in Sanford, Fla., arrested a high school student Sunday night after his classmate was found shot in the head on the side of a busy road over the weekend, according to Local 6 News.Investigators said a family was driving west along state Road 417 and spotted Mitchell Weiner lying near a late model maroon car and another man standing nearby.The family became suspicious when the car sped away after they passed, leaving Weiner on the ground.A short time later, deputies with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office investigated and found the teen shot in the head.Weiner was last seen alive was at a football practice at Lake Brantley High School.After an investigation, police arrested Brian Harvey in connection with the shooting, Local 6 News has learned."The details of what happened to Weiner after he left Saturday's football scrimmage at 11 a.m. are still being pieced together by investigators," Local 6 reporter Deborah Garcia said.Anyone with information concerning the shooting is urged to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
