Indialantic has joined a growing list of Central Florida cities cracking down on sex offenders, according to a Local 6 News report.
The city council passed the measure Tuesday night 3 to 2.
The ordinance says sex offenders cannot live within 2,000 feet of areas frequented by children, including churches, schools, playgrounds and parks.
Sex offenders also have to register with Indialantic every six months.
Currently, there are no sex offenders living in the city limits, the report said.
