A driver faces attempted murder charges, accused of hitting an Orange County sheriff's deputy during an attempted traffic stop, according to Local 6 News.Investigators said a sheriff's motorcycle deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on Silver Star Road and Hastings in Orange County on Thursday but the driver took off.During the incident, the driver hit the deputy and two cars before crashing.Police said the driver claimed he was being chased by another car but authorities could not confirm the claim.The deputy is expected to be OK.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
