ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -

Authorities on Wednesday said a truck used to follow a girl home from school in Altamonte Springs is believed be the same one involved in similar incidents last week.

On Monday, a 14-year-old girl called police and reported that two men in a white pickup truck followed her home from school near Pearl Lake Causeway and Bunnell Road.  The girl said she ran home when the pickup approached her, according to police.

One of the men was described as in his 30s or 40s with tan skin, dark hair and no facial hair. The other was described as in his 30s or 40s and chubby with white hair.

Last week, police said a man tried to lure two girls, ages 14 and 15, who were walking home alone from Lake Brantley High School near San Sebastian and San Marie Avenue.

Police said all three cases may be connected and that they happened within a one-mile radius.

Police said the truck is an industrial style, white flat bed truck with no equipment in the back except for a red hose.

The Altamonte Springs Police Department and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office are increasing patrols in the areas and asking residents to report any suspicious incidents.
