Roadkill for dinner?
Montana's state senate has given its initial backing to a bill that would allow residents to gather up roadkill to eat.
"It really is a sin to waste good meat," said state senator Larry Jent.
Under the bill, law enforcement officers would issue permits for the removal of dead elk, deer, antelope and moose off the state's roadways.
Several states already allow people to take roadkill home for dinner. If the bill is passed, Montana would join would join Colorado, Illinois, West Virginia and Georgia.
In Florida, it's legal for drivers to take home any animal as long as it isn't a protected species.
