The Daytona Beach Police Department has identified the body found floating in the Halifax River, at the base of the Main Street Bridge.
Police said Muno Saaverda, 50, died of drowning and alcohol may have been a factor in his death.
Police said there was no visible evidence of foul play.
The manner of death has not been determined, but a toxicology report is scheduled that should determine what killed Saaverda.
A caller, who wants to remain anonymous, told police he was looking over the bridge and thought he saw a body floating in the water.
