ORLANDO, Fla. -

Bristol Palin, eldest daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is defending an "F" word her son said on national television.

The incident happened in the recent airing of "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," which airs on Lifetime.

In the episode, Palin's 3-year-old son, Tripp, can be heard saying an "F" word, which was bleeped out by the cable network.

The Huffington Post reports the toddler used a derogatory gay slur, however, Bristol Palin reportedly blogged on Monday, "This is not true, let me be clear, I'm not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different 'F' word."
