Brush fire ignites in Kissimmee

Fire not threatening homes, officials say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

Fire officials are working to contain a brush fire in Kissimmee on Tuesday afternoon.

The 7-acre fire ignited in the 500 block of North Hoagland Boulevard in Kissimmee, fire officials said.

Osceola Fire Rescue and Division of Forestry are both on scene Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said the fire is 50 percent contained. It is not threatening any homes or businesses.
