Car hits cruiser; Deputy taken to hospital

ORLANDO, Fla. -

An Orange County sheriff's deputy was injured Monday morning when a vehicle struck the deputy's cruiser on State Road 408.

Officials said the deputy was conducting a traffic stop around 8:40 a.m. on S.R. 408 near Conway Road when the vehicle hit the cruiser as the deputy was exiting.

The deputy was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash blocked four lanes of traffic in the area.

No other details have been released.
