DELTONA, Fla. -

A woman, her mother and two children were uninjured early Monday when the woman's ex-boyfriend fired shots into their Deltona home, according to deputies.

Abdul J. Ayanwale, 22, of Deltona, was arrested in the shooting, which happened just just after midnight in the 500 block of Apollo Avenue.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Ayanwale and his ex-girlfriend, who's the mother of his child, were arguing on the phone, and she refused to meet with him to talk.

Ayanwale, who's listed on a Volusia County sheriff's report as a Army National Guardsman, threatened to shoot into the home if she didn't meet him, but she continued to refuse, deputies said.

Ayanwale then fired three shots into the house, but no one was injured, deputies said.  The gunshots traveled through the house and shattered a glass door in the rear of the home, deputies said.

Ayanwale ran away, and the woman's mother called 911, according to deputies.

The Sheriff's Office said Ayanwale was located at his home and arrested.  He faces charges of firing a weapon into a building and aggravated battery of a person while using a deadly weapon.
