Chocolate Kingdom, the Factory Adventure Tour, located at 5720 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway near Fun Spot, opened on Monday.
"It's kind of sort of my father's legacy because he has been making chocolate since 1969," said Edgar Schaked, the owner.
According to the company's website, Chocolate Kingdom is an interactive journey that uncovers how chocolate transforms from the bean into the creamy, dreamy chocolate bar.
After the raw chocolate is sorted, Schaked said it's roasted, then ground and then run through a 1920s machine before ingredients are added and the cocoa is turned into either milk, dark or white chocolate.
It also offers a one-of-a-kind Chocolate Museum, a "mystical river of chocolate" and the opportunity to create a customized chocolate bar. Schaked also said there's a marshmallow shooting game.
Schaked said the recipe is a family secret.
"He's been making chocolate since 1969, so it's the culmination to his life to be able to make a working chocolate factory," he said.
The first tour began at 1 p.m. Monday, according to Chocolate Kingdom's Facebook page.
