ORLANDO, Fla. -

Ongoing construction on a busy highway interchange in Orange County will lead to ramp closures Thursday night and Friday morning.

The Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority is closing down the ramp between northbound State Road 417 to westbound State Road 408, and from westbound State Road 408 to northbound State Road 417.

The shutdown is part of ongoing work to completely overhaul the interchange.

The ramp closures are expected to last between 8 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday, meaning your Friday morning commute could be impacted if you're out early.

The Expressway Authority says signs will be posted to help drivers detour around the construction.

The entire project at the interchange is expected to be finished in the next few months.
