An Oregon man is accused of choking his girlfriend with his dreadlocks.
Caleb Grotberg, 32, faces charges of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and domestic violence, Portland TV station KOIN reported.
The unidentified woman was taken to a hospital Monday to be treated for numerous non-life-threatening injuries, Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson told The Associated Press.
She told police Grotberg assaulted her before choking her with his dreadlocks, which are matted ropes of hair.
