Police say a mother has been arrested after she allegedly left her children in the car and then stole more $400 of clothing at a Sanford department store.
Officials said the incident happened inside the Bealls at the Seminole Towne Center.
Sanford police say Tara Kidder's every move were captured by cameras. Right as she began, security guards were on to her as the cameras started to follow her.
Kidder checked out the clothes on the racks. Behind the clothes in her right hand, she had a big green bag. She double checks her selections and then stuffed them inside the bag.
Cameras show Kidder left the bag in the middle of the floor for a second, then shoves more clothes inside and heads to the register.
Kidder only paid for a few things and kept the green bag of sight from the cashier. Cameras show seconds after she left the store, a security guard escorted her back inside.
Kidder has been arrested and is currently in the Seminole County Jail. She's being held on $2,100 bond.
The woman's 3-year-old and 12-year-old she left in the car were turned over safely to their father.
