Police say they have arrested a woman who barricaded herself after firing shots from inside a room at the Conch Hotel.

Daytona Beach police and a SWAT team arrived at the hotel Wednesday evening, located at 726 North Atlantic Avenue.

Authorities say the woman appeared to be suicidal and was apparently distraught over a recent relationship dispute.

The woman was alone inside the hotel room, said police.

After a standoff with the woman, police said the woman was subdued and arrested after police fired tear gas canisters into the room.
