The state has suspended a DeBary dentist's license after investigators say she was using "laughing gas" in front of patients before doing procedures.
Dr. Sharon O'Steen has been a practicing dentist for almost two decades, according to an ad for her office. According to investigators, O'Steen was accused of inhaling nitrous oxide, then conducted procedures.
O'Steen's son told Local 6 she voluntarily closed her office to seek help for a drug problem in June. But the Department of Health said after failing treatment she went back to work in August.
Health officials issued an emergency suspension saying she posed a danger to the patients.
