DeLand may scrap red-light camera plans
Installation delays prompt vote
Commissioners will vote to shelve plans for installing red-light cameras throughout the city of DeLand.
A vote to terminate their contract with a vendor will be held Monday night, after repeated delays in installing the cameras at three intersections, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
The planned intersections for red-light camera installation are Woodland Boulevard and U.S. 92, Amelia Avenue and U.S. 92, and Woodland Boulevard and Taylor Road.
The city will decide whether to look for another red-light camera vendor at a later date.
