Dog hurt in Osceola robbery
KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

A robber followed a handicapped man from an ATM in Central Florida and pushed him out of his wheelchair into oncoming traffic, injuring the man's dog, according to deputies.

The victim told authorities a man was watching him on Saturday as he withdrew money from a cash machine at a gas station in Kissimmee. As he tried to get home, the suspect caught up with him and tipped him out of his wheelchair into oncoming traffic, deputies said.

The victim was unable to get up and said several cars drove by before someone stopped to help.

A small dog that was with the victim was hurt in the incident, suffering a leg injury.

Deputies used surveillance video from the gas station to track 24-year-old Sonny Abreu, who was charged Wednesday with attempted murder, robbery, abuse of a disabled adult and animal cruelty.
