A DeLeon Springs woman attacked her boyfriend by pouring hot candle wax on his head and face during an argument over the couple being evicted from their home, according to sheriff's officials.
Denise Harris, 39, was arrested on charges of battery, a Volusia County sheriff's incident report shows. Harris was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on $1,000 bond.

According to the report, Lemuel Courson, 38, was also bitten and punched in the attack.
Deputies were called to a home at Johnson Lake Road in DeLeon Springs at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday by Courson's mother.
"She hit him in the face and threw a candle on him or something. He said he's got candle wax all over the side of his face," Courson's mom said in a 911 call.
Courson told deputies that he was sitting on a sofa talking with Harris about the possibility of being evicted when she got angry, the report stated.
According to the report, Harris, a student at Florida Technical College in DeLand, picked up the lit candle and poured hot wax on Courson's face and hair.
Harris left the home to get away from Harris, but she followed him and bit him on the jaw, deputies said. When Courson pushed her off him, she punched him in the nose, according to the report.
Courson had dried wax on the side of his face and hair, deputies said. Dried wax was also found on the sofa and coffee table in the living room, the report said.
