LEESBURG, Fla. -

Authorities have arrested a man they say was operating a marijuana grow house in a Lake County retirement community.

Raymond Smith has been charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia after searching his home on Highland Drive in the Mid-Florida Lakes subdivision, a retirement community in Leesburg.

According to the report, in the two bedroom single wide mobile home, one of the bedrooms was turned into a drying room and the other bedroom was a cloning room. The enclosed porch was the main grow room, investigators said.

Detectives seized approximately 283 marijuana plants and approximately 5 pounds of processed marijuana.
