Man told deputies he was 'supporting his addiction'
Deputies arrested two men Wednesday after find a methamphetamine lab in DeLeon Springs, according to Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The discovery came after deputies received a report of a suspicious person hanging out on a dirt road, officials say.
Deputies asked Christopher Sanchez what he was doing and told them he was waiting for a friend.
While in the area authorities later stumbled upon a large shed and heard people talking inside.
Deputies asked Brian Jett, who came out of the shed, what he was doing inside and he told authorities, “supporting my addiction. Cooking meth,” according to records.
Jett, from Deltona, was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sanchez, from Orange City, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, according to a deputy’s report.
