APOPKA, Fla. -

Orange County detectives on Friday searched two homes in Apopka in relation to a missing person investigation.

A search was taking place in connection with Ronald Lee Justice Jr., 31, who was last seen in March 2011 but wasn't reported missing until July 2012 by his ex-girlfriend.

Detectives searched a house in the 1200 block of Adirondack Court where Justice once lived.

They also searched a home on Slote Drive.  Neighbors said Justice may have been killed and his body burned in the back yard of the house.  Detectives said it may take them a couple of days to dig up and search the entire yard.

Officials said they found debris, which will sent for testing to determine if it is bone fragments, adding that it's too small to tell by just looking at it.

It's also not known why Justice wasn't reported missing for more than a year. Justice's current wife did not report him as missing, and didn't give police a reason why she didn't.

Police also want to speak to Daniel Craven who used to live in the house on Slote Drive. However, his father said he heard Craven moved to California.

Greg Friel rents the home on Slote Drive, and said deputies left a note inside his home, indicating they collected bones and miscellaneous buttons from his backyard.

"It's kind of surreal. The dog hangs out back there, and they were asking about bones that he might of drug in the house," said Friel.
