VIERA, Fla. -

A suspicious package that turned out to be a duffel bag was reported at Viera High School, prompting an evacuation, according to Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the bomb squad was called to school, located at Stadium Parkway in Melbourne, to investigate. The bag, which was full of clothes and books, was later deemed safe.

Some students were evacuated to the football field as a precaution, according to deputies.
