A family pet was stolen in Deltona on Tuesday morning, where thieves have targeted several homes in recent weeks.
"It is appalling," said Robert Cauthen.
Cauthen cannot believe someone stole his 4-month old puppy, Boss, right from their front yard.
"I'm so mad right now I can barely even talk," said Cauthen.
It's the second time in less than a week that Cauthen has been targeted. On Friday, thieves broke into his house through two bedroom windows.
There have been at least seven break-ins in Deltona in just the past two weeks. They all happened in about a 3.5 mile radius.
Thieves also broke through a bedroom window at Laura Lisoski's house.
"What they did was they opened up both locks slid up the window and came through," said Lisoski.
They stole electronics, her great-great grandmother's jewelry and ransacked the house all on the one weekend she happened to be out of town.
"We were very fortunate because if my daughter was sleeping in this bedroom, God knows what could have happened to my children," said Lisoski.
In both cases, the victims believe whoever broke into their house was familiar with the surroundings, but no arrests have been made.
