FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -

Authorities said a Yak 52 Russian aircraft was doing aerobatic maneuvers and broke from formation before crashing at the Flagler County airport on Saturday afternoon, Local 6 News partner WJXT reported.

It happened about 4:30 p.m. about one-half mile from where spectators were watching the Wings Over Flagler airshow.

?The one plane was doing a loop and the other one was going straight down. He just feel out of the sky, straight down,? Matt Barron told FlaglerLive.com.

Police have not released the name of the pilot who died, pending notification of family. No one on the ground was hurt.

Local 6 has a crew headed to Flagler County. This story will be updated as more details become available.
