ORLANDO, Fla. -

We're in the heart of wedding season, and that means stress levels are high.

But now, the government is helping you prepare for the big day.

The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention has released a "Wedding Season Survival Guide."

It says wedding participants should have an emergency kit stocked with safety pins, sedatives, bottles of water, snacks, extra makeup and cash.

The CDC says participants should also plan for a worst-case scenario, including bad weather or someone not showing up.

If it sounds strange that the CDC is giving out information about weddings, consider this: just months ago, the agency also posted a fictional "Zombie Survival Guide."
