The state fire marshal is investigating what started a fire that destroyed a building early Monday in Apopka.
Orange County fire crews were dispatched to 1566 E. Semoran Blvd. around 4:30 a.m. in response to a structure fire.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, the building was engulfed in flames and smoke covered much of the roadway.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire a short time later, but not before the blaze destroyed the building.
Firefighters said the building was unoccupied, but they were not certain if the structure was a residence or business.
