Florida homeowners have been busy improving the bathroom plumbing in their homes, specifically toilets and toilet parts.

Build.com, reported Monday that Florida ranked third behind New York and California, with the site’s Florida customers accounting for 8 percent of toilet and toilet part sales in 2012.

According to Build.com, December was the least popular month nationwide for buying toilets and toilet parts (45 percent dip compared to the monthly average); October was the most popular month (20 percent increase compared to the monthly average)

Build.com reports customers -- so called “frequent flushers” -- purchased 32,578 toilets and toilet parts.
