A man in southwest Florida faces several charges after deputies say he ran naked around a golf course.

Pasco County sheriff's deputies said the unidentified man was caught running naked around a Tarpon Spring golf course early Tuesday morning.

Deputies caught up with the man after they say he went into a convenience store and attacked an employee. Authorities said the man then jumped into his van and led deputies on a chase in which the man sideswiped a patrol car.

Deputies said the man faces several charges, including battery and aggravated fleeing to elude.

It is not known why the man was not wearing clothes at the time he was caught.
