ORLANDO, Fla. -

A suspicious package found near UCF, which caused the evacuation of two office buildings, turned out to be a GPS "scavenger hunt" device, according to school officials.

The package was located Thursday morning in the Central Florida Research Park adjacent to the UCF campus near the Research Pavilion and Orlando Tech Center on Research Parkway.

The office buildings and nearby roadways were reopened around 9:20 a.m.

No school activities were affected during the incident.
