ORLANDO, Fla. -

"Caylee?s Law" is gaining momentum in Florida as well as other states, and now, George Anthony has decided to speak out in support of it.

If "Caylee?s Law" passes, it would make it a crime to not report a child missing or deceased after 24 hours.

Talks of the legislation began shortly after Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Now, it is one of the fastest growing petitions, with 1.1 million signatures, including George Anthony?s.

"This is a great legacy for my granddaughter. Other children still need assistance. If it reflects on my daughter, well, so be it," he said to a Washington Post blogger.

Several other states are also seriously considering adopting "Caylee?s Law."

In Oregon, Rep. Shawn Lindsay said he?ll sponsor the law in his state.
