George Zimmerman's attorney asks to question Sanford officers
Mark O'Mara requests state's evidence in gag order against him
The attorney for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, has filed two motions on Wednesday asking to question more Sanford Police personnel and for the state's evidence in its gag order.
Attorney Mark O'Mara is asking in his supplemental witness list to question many personnel involved in the investigation into Martin's shooting, including. former police chief Bill Lee and Chris Serino, the lead investigator.
O’Mara also filed a demand for specific discovery, asking the special prosecutors to give him all of the evidence the state will use to ask for a gag order against O’Mara.
Zimmerman, charged with second-degree murder, has pleaded not guilty, saying he shot Martin in self-defense.
