Jessica Sanchez began her career in television in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1993 after landing a job as a co-host for KSL's Saturday morning kid's show "Zinj TV." It was during this time that she set her future goals on TV journalism, knowing one day it would be her career.

After graduating from the University of Utah in 2000 with a degree in mass communication and a minor in psychology, Jessica decided to learn the behind-the-scenes aspect of TV news before jumping in front of the camera. She worked for Salt Lake City's Fox 13 as a video editor and associate producer. In 2002 she took the next step and moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she worked as an anchor/reporter for KPVI Newschannel 6.

After putting in 18 months of one-man-banding, Jessica made the jump to sunny Orlando in April 2004 as Local 6's morning reporter. Now she helps Central Floridians get to school and work on time with her traffic reports, and files special reports for the morning news.

While she never thought her career would take her to the South she hasn't looked back. She says living in one of the top tourist destinations in the world is like being on permanent vacation. The only thing that makes it hard is being so far away from her family.

      Controversies that rocked celeb endorsements

J.C. Penney recently hired talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman in an effort to rebuild its image, despite protests. Celebrity spokespeople have stirred controversy before.
