Both the AP and USA Today/Coaches Top 25 Polls for week 2 were released today with Florida State and Florida heading in opposite directions and UCF receiving votes.

With their 69-3 season opening win over Murray State, the Seminoles are up to 6th in both polls, moving up one spot.

Meanwhile, the Gators dropped from 23rd to 24th in the latest AP rankings and remained at 24th in the Coaches poll. Florida defeated Bowling Green 27-14 in the opener in Gainesville. With Jeff Driskel at starting quarterback, the Gators are getting ready for their SEC opener at Texas A & M. Florida kicks off with the conference newcomer on Saturday at 3:30.

The Seminoles are about to play their second of four consecutive games at Doak Campbell Stadium. Florida State hosts Savannah State, a team that lost its opener 84-0 to Oklahoma State. Game time is at 6 in Tallahassee. FSU announced yesterday that All-ACC Defensive End Brandon Jenkins is out for the season with a foot injury.
