Orange County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a fire they believe was caused by a lightning strike at a subdivision in Southwest Orange County.

Firefighters got to the house just before 5:30. They tell Local 6 no one was hurt and the family was able to get out of the home quickly.

According to firefighters the fire started in the attic and spread on the second floor of the home, before rescue workers could put it out.

So far there are no damage estimates. Fire officials say they will remain on scene to make sure the fire doesn't smolder.
